Onderland and original goal :)

Hit Onderland end of the week last week! Today am 198.8 :D Pretty insane to me... Like many others, I'm sure, I havent been this light since being a pretty young child

My original goal weight was 200 lbs. Once I got to around 230 I knew that it wouldnt be my final goal weight, that I'd have more to lose. Not sure how much more though, as far as the number. I want to lose until my stomach isnt fat anymore, which would also hopefully be when my arms and chest have leaned out. What do you guys think? Another 20 lbs? 30 lbs?

Here are some photos of day before surgery to now.

Loving this tool.

"Choosing" a weight seems to be a recent trend.  What's wrong with losing until your body decides it's enough?  It could be 20 lbs or 50 lbs - Ive honestly never come across anyone who disappeared, so I don't think any of us need to manipulate the process.  Just keep doing what you're doing and the weightloss will just stop.

Good job, btw

Thank you, yea no I'm for sure going until I kind of taper off. Just curious what people think as far as where I am now about how much more that amount would be

Thinking out loud...

But what if your body stops losing naturally at a place higher than your chosen goal (or normal BMI)? How do you know if its your body stopping naturally, or your effort not being great enough?  This is the million dollar question I go back and forth with personally. I've not changed a thing about my approach (which is admittedly less strict than most)- but has also worked in shedding 145#'s to date. I chose 175, should I accept 190ish? I won't because in my head this is never "done"- it'll always be work why not work towards my choice.

I'm love how I look, and feel now. My health is good, docs are happy, I'm happy. Sometimes I just want to run off with my happiness and abandon the scale-- but that's likely what got me to be SMO in the first place.

I didn't mess with my diet, didn't add anything in or manipulate it.  Just followed the plan until my body stopped losing.  I lost 120lbs in under 6 months and was only a 40 bmi to start with.   I'll take a bet that most people who are SUPER compliant, lose a lot and quickly.  We all make our choices in what we're willing to do to get where we want to be.

The OP is still losing, so he doesn't have to do anything different.  If you are someone who is free'er with their diet, then your mileage may vary.

Yes, Yes, Yes! Your body will know when it is done. Work out, build muscle-that is what truly changes the way your body looks. Keep up the great work!!

Kim, I was thinking the same thing.  I went from 280+ to about 200-205 bouncing right now.  I'm 8 months out and 5 9" so similar size as Chris but in a female package.  I have been about this weight for 2 months and I'm actually pretty ok with it.  Sure I'd like some fine tuning here or there and that's what I'm working on but I'm not sure if I have 10lbs more or 40 or 50lbs more to give.

Yellow, my stats almost exactly match yours. I just hit 204 with a quick drop in inches. I'm 6 months out so think I'll likely end up one more dress size down by the time my one year anniversary comes up in June, but honestly If I don't lose another pound I'd be ok.

Great job so far!  Keep going and you will reach goal.

Maybe 40 or 50 pounds more?

I am sure you will get there.
