SO frustrated!!

I'm about 45 days post-VSG, and often feel hungry! It's physical, in my belly, growly and acidy. Really don't think it's Head Hunger. My doc recommended I keep taking my antacid daily, but the prilosec isn't cutting it.

I'm at work and don't have my list of recommended options- what works best for you?

Other ideas? I'm super cranky, so if you say it's permanent or imaginary, I may punch you!

I take Protonix for acid. It works well for me.

Edited to add: I believe you need a prescription.

Prescription is definitely needed. Dexilant also works well.

Zantac, Prevacid, anything that is an H2 blocker (google H2 blockers). There are quite a few.

My clinic prescribed Rabeprazole, and said it was their ppi of choice for bariatric post ops.
