NSV. With a Jeep???

When I was 14-21ish I had 7-8 flat fender (1941-1954) Jeeps. They have large steering wheels and small uncomfortable seats. A lot of times people will install more comfortable seats but then a smaller steering wheel is required but because of manual steering it becomes difficult to steer at low speeds. When you are overweight it makes the problem worse. I finally bought a 70 and a 75 "round fender" CJ5 when I couldn't fit into flatties.

This last week I had to do teach defensive driving at a center on the coast and I passed a flattie that was for sale. Although these never left my heart I was thinking that flatties in stock form were just memories. On my way home I decided to check it out. It was extremely overpriced but I decided to have a seat. I fit! Not only did I fit but I had room! I still have a 42 that I was planning on sectioning the body and making it longer and wider but that won't be happening now because it isn't necessary. Happy fat man!

That is an M38-A1, the military version of the CJ5. Those are pretty cool and somewhat rare these days. Good looking Jeep!
