I remember at my two week check-up asking if it was okay to have avocado and the nutritionist looked at me like I was from outer space and said "no."    Don't know why.   Pretty innocuous stuff.    More so than green beans for sure, LOL.     That being said, make it all about protein as much as you can right now, but a spoonful of avocado is not going to kill you.

I had avocado pretty early out, maybe at 3 or 4 weeks?  It was yummy, and did not cause me any grief!

Now I wonder why a nut would say avocado is bad? Lol

1oz 50 calories, 4.5 grams fat, 3 grams, carbohydrates, 1gram protein

For a normal diet someone who is watching calories and fat yes but not a DSer!

Because they're nutty. Why else? LOL

The fat-free fad in the 70s has been linked to the rise in obesity.
Fat is integral to health. Good grief.
All things in moderation - even for "normal diets."

Here's an idea (this might really shake up your nut):
Add unflavored greek yogurt (12-15 grams of protein/serving) to your mashed avocado.........         and voila...avocado dip. :)

I love avocado, peel, slice, salt and pepper maybe a splash of vinegar. Mmm I love em.
They're also good for your skin and heart health!

Avocado was one of my first soft foods.  I mashed it up and mixed it with soft scrambled eggs and cheese.

The unflavored greek yogurt is a great sour cream substitute.
Try mashed potatoes mixed with melted cheese, a bit of butter, soft BACON (
