I have an apt at Weil Cornell wit Dr Gregory Dakin.  Does anyone have any feedback on him?
Im concerned because in his stats it doesnt state he performs  revisions or open.  Im worried that I may need open becasue my RNY was open.

I don't know anything about him, but I just had my revision in NYC with Dr. Mitchell Roslin.  He's experienced with them.  He is out of Lenox Hill Hospital.  I had my RNY open 11 years ago and Dr. Roslin did the revision lap.  He's am amazingly skilled surgeon!

Good luck!

You can search this website for older posts of others' experiences too......

Here's the first page when I plugged "dakin" into a google advanced search:

http://www.google.com/search?q=dakin+site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww .obesityhelp.com%2Fforums%2Fds&hl=en&num=10&lr=&ft=i&cr=&saf e=images&tbs=&safe=active

Here's a link to instructions on how you can help yourself:

You will find a wealth of information if you take some time reading older posts.
Happy hunting!

Have you checked out the list of vetted DS surgeons on DSFacts.com? There are only a very few surgeons who are skilled at revisions from RNY to DS. Good luck.

He's not a DS revision surgeon as far as I know.  I don't think I've ever heard of him.

There are only a handful of surgeons qualified to do a RnY to DS revision...

Keshishian, Rabkin, Greenbaum, Ungson (in Mexico) and a few more.  To get more feedback change the title of your post to "looking for RnY to DS surgeon."

No.  There are other qualified surgeons. They might not appear on the (privately owned) dsfacts.com,  however.

dsfacts.com is not the be all and end all of ways to choose surgeons.

In NYC for example you have Pomp,  Inabnet,  Herron...all certainly qualified.  All have been doing the DS and the RNY for a long time.  I mean you didn't even list Gagner.

I said AND OTHERS.  I did not say it was a complete list and I didn't even MENTION dsfacts.

What is your problem?  Just tell the OP what you want to tell her.  I don't know every RnY to DS surgeon that is why I told her to change the title of her thread.

Posting to me isn't going to help the OP one whit.  Why don't you make a list of every RnY to DS surgeon and post it somewhere and then we will all know who you think is qualified.

Ask Sia about Dakin.  http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/ds/board_id,5357/user_id,8 61438/a,messageboard/action,memberPosts/

I think she was less than thrilled - and she was a virgin DSer.
