Protein, protein, protein

I need some advice, I am not getting enough protein in, it is under 100grams a day,  I start with a protein shake in the morning, and I try for a protein bar during the day and then I focus on protein for supper. I was wondering if I increased my protein I would eat less carbs, and should I be eating protein or having a shake if I am not hungry?

Sounds like detoxing from carbs might help. Increase the protein shakes and white knuckle through for a week. You can do this!

I wouldn't do protein bars at all. I think thing they have way to may carbs.  Meat and shakes

Generally, but do be really careful with the bars and read the ingredients and carb count--they are sneaky!

I am going to go fruitless in my shakes for a week, and not eat meats that have sauces on them. I wish I had some other ideas on what to do to get lower in my carbs. But this is a start.

an idea that helped me was making my own beef jerky when I nibble on it through out the day I eat less carbs.  I bought a dehydrator and make go through about 2 pounds of ground beef a week.  I do take the easy way out and use a mix from amazon.com.  I read one of the best tasting is trader joes but to me it is very thick and now that I make my own I like to regulate the thickness so I am not grabbing for the floss so often.

Those who do not have real teeth can eat my beef jerky as I roll it out with a rolling pin and I fill five shelves on my dehydrator.  Ground beef may sound odd to you but if you do the research it is the most common type of meat used now a days in making it at home.

hope this helps it and easy way to get in protein through out the day as a no brainer.
