I've done searches so I know there are several of us out there.

Hoping some of you see this and will check in.

As a newly revised VSG to DS'er I'd love to hear how everybody's doing.

I am a re-sleeve and revision to DS in 10-14... I have done well at 3 months out down 52 lbs and my diabetes is under control.  Hoping my PCOS and high cholesterol comes into line.  My original VSG in 2010 was not successful barely lost 50 lbs gained back 20.  I was a lightweight SW in oct 240 currently 188. Learning how/what to eat- still hardly any room beyond my protein/fat/hydration requirements each day.

That's awesome! I wonder why your VSG wasn't that successful. Was your sleeve made very large?

My high cholesterol was resolved after my first VSG but came back (not nearly as high though) when I started putting weight back on. I'm back on cholesterol medication. I'm hoping it will resolve itself again and I can stop taking the medication.

I had a re-sleeve and ds 10/20/14.  Original vsg May 2011

So far I've gone from 269 to 225, not too shabby. I am currently at/about my lowest weight ever with my previous vsg.  Up until this point, I kept feeling like, "yeah ok, the ds made me lose another 10lbs, big deal, so did my sleeve."  Basically, I mean that I haven't been able to get excited, or believe that this surgery would be any different.  I am slowly beginning to believe it though.  I am cautiously optimistic that I may SOMEDAY weigh less than 200 lbs!

I worked so hard for so long with the sleeve, with minimal results and a bit of regain.  I am so determined that the ds will change my life!  Can't wait to hear from some more of us!

Thanks for replying! Sounds like you're doing great.

Lim currently 5 weeks out from mine and losing is slow as molasses! I've lost inches,  but the scale isn't moving much!

The day of surgery I was 195...now I'm around 180.

as of last week I had lost 10.5 inches.

I only lost about 20lbs the first 6 weeks or so.  The rest has come off since then, so have faith!
