4 miles in the new shoes.  I am not entirely sure if I like them.  The Princess Knee didn't seem to mind them but they have a bit to much arch support I think.  I have 10k this weekend, if they dont feel great by then, they will go back.

I have been on "mandatory" rest this week per my trainer. Yesterday I was able to do Yogalates and the stretching was A-Mazing.  Today I did the 30 min kickboxing class. Tomorrow, if I keep my resistance low, I can do Spinnerval.

It has been hard staying out of the gym, but I definitely feel a difference.  Still excited to get back to "normal" next week

I took Dog #2 on a long walk. She really needs to learn how to walk on a leash better so we can run together. Dog #1 is great on the leash but she's so old at this point she makes it about a half mile and then can't go anymore and I have to carry her home. Not so fun for me.

Besides that... I did a bunch of body weight strength training and then some stretches. I'm thinking part of my knee problem might be lack of strength in my quads so I'm going to pay more attention to that.

Was so warm the past 2 night - both runs at 5.5 miles were what I would call crappy!  Runs like this get me so worried about my half marathon that is less than 8 days away. I am pretty new to running and my confidence is easily shaken. Today is a rest day and tomorrow will be my last workout with my training group - hoping that goes well.

Sandy - I am about a month out from my first half and I'm beginning to get terrified and am about to say forget the whole thing.

I had to register for a different race in a different location because of my husband's work travel schedule, something came up and I couldn't make my first choice work, so I've gone from a 4 hour cut off to a 3:15 cut off. I'm not getting any faster, which I thought I would be. At maximum effort, I've been able to get 11:00/mile for 11. So, I don't have near the cushion that I want. I'm stressing out and it doesn't feel fun to me at all (which is what this craziness was all about).

I don't have much to add other than I know sort of what you're going through. I sure hope that the last group work out goes well and that race day goes off without a hitch.
