Hiking again

Before severely injuring my knee and gaining 120 lbs I LOVED being out of doors; hiking, biking, etc.  One of my major goals was to get back outside to walk, hike, etc with my family.  I'm 6 weeks post op and yesterday I hike 3.55 miles with no problems!  Already looking at more challenging hikes to do in the future.

I miss hiking. This is one of my favorites when it comes to exercise. Just go for it! It will really help you lose weight and of course don't overdo it. Find time to rest especially you had an injury for your knee.

Good for you Amy, I'm happy that you are now back in your fitness lifestyle. I really love biking too, but I never tried hiking before. I really wanted to try new things like hiking. Can you give me some advice for my first hiking activity in the future? Thanks!
