New to this list

Hi everyone - I've been on OH for several months now and just found this list. Can't believe it. I have my first Dr.'s appointment on Monday in LA with Dr. Nazarian. Has anyone else on the list used him? My insurance approved me in less than a month. Anyone here from Southern CA? - I moved to Palm Springs in July from Minneapolis. Maybe I know some of you on this list. My partner and I have been together for 12 1/2 happy years. She's very supportive. Oh - my surgery date is April 12. I'm 59 yrs old - and I'm very excited at the thought of losing weight and I hope some of my co-morbidities. Wish me luck for Monday - I'm very anxious about the upper GI. Hate barium. Ruth
