I was lurking on the boards and see that many folks are having the same ole' food troubles arising as before surgery. I just had my consult with my Doctor for surgery and also took a nutrition class. Here's some "refreshers" for those of you struggling. 1) Get rid of your trigger foods. This will make you work for them, if they aren't there in the first place. 2) Eat off of a smaller plate and smaller utensils. 3) Eat your protein first. Get that full feeling. 4) Don't drink during meals. Wait until at least 30 minutes. 5) Keep a food diary. Keep it by the fridge or on the fridge. That way you have to be honest with yourself. 6) Wean yourself off of diet soda and sodas, if your on them. The Doctor, nutritionist and studies are beginning to show they actually trigger this carb. eating. Of course, most of us know exactly what to do! IT's just doing IT is the hard part....Good luck (I know I need it). Shawn
