Band-Aversary

Just a quick message to rave about this journey.  This month marks my 9th anniversary since I was banded.  Since 2004, I have lost 85 pounds and have kept it off for 7 years.  I have also started up running and ran my first ever official run (16k Paris-Versailles) just this past September.  As a family we have gone SCUBA diving, paint balling, Para sailing, hiking, geo-caching, camping, kayaking, go carting, zip-lining, and even hydro-speed (would not recommend that one, like white river rafting on a glorified boogy board ).  I am more confident, adventurous and in love with life.  I am going for my first plastic surgery in 2 weeks for a tummy tuck.  Very excited but nervous.  Then next year will be looking into have the leg lift and try and fix my deflated butt!   I thank God every day for this tool we can use to help improve our lives.

Thank you for letting me celebrate!

Congratulations! Great to see successful vets posting.  Life is good when slimmer, isn't it!  I know being fat does not mean life has to be miserable but there is so much more to life when we can be for and active!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
