Well don't waste your time going to the new GNC store in
the southend...(by the newer wal-mart superstore) because
they are total idiots. I've never received such pathetic customer
service in my whole life. Not only were they overpriced, understocked,
and ignorant about their products, they were rude and treated me
like I was a homeless person with no money and no interest in my
health. I dare say I was subjected to pure unadulterated
fat-judgement. That's ok... They just lost a potential customer
who will be spending lots of $$$$ on nutritional supplements and
vitamins for the rest of my life.

Oh wait.... was this a group rant??? I think I just hi-jacked your post and turned it into my own personal soapbox... Sorry!

I also had one experience like that a GNC, but only once in going to several stores on several occassions. I think it's best to do your research ahead of time and just go in and get what you know you need. I do like GNC because of their return policy though.

it's amazing how the same chain of stores can have such different customer service.

the one here in Thunder Bay is wonderful, the guys...it's mostly young men..are very attentive, and able to respond to quesitons, suggest products..while they are MORE familiar with body building proteins, they are able to help bariatric patients as well.

I am almost 3 years post-op and usually visit every other month and have never had a bad experience.

From what you described...I would be contacting the store owner

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!

An idea to cut the carbs would be to blend the banana one half and half with another low carb protein powder, like a chocolate one, and I bet that would taste good. The Weider's pineapple is not as good as the fruit splash, if you're going to try it again, I like the fruit one much better, it's like a mango fruit punch.

I also went to GNC this week in North Bay.. and received absoloutley crap service...  I was so overwhelmed on what to buy...

I ended up buying 4 shakes for 20 bucks... just to help get my protein levels up... while on liquid part of diet...

I should have just drove to Sudbury ... like I do for everything else...lol..
