some questions
So I have met the surgeon and saw the internist. No tests were ordered and I was surprised.. I see the nurse, social worker and dietician April 30/12. So what does the nurse do? Also Dr Klein said after my last appt to call and book to see him 2 weeks later. Does he give me the surgery date then? I am going to be having the surgery at Humber
Thanks
Thanks

I am going through Humber. You will be getting your surgery date after you are given the green light from your nurse, social worker and dietician. An appointment will be made for your Surgeon after these appointments. They will then give you a surgery date and optifast start date.
Good news you are going through Humber the fastest program out there. Buckle up it comes fast and before you know it, you'll be chuggin back Optifast.

The nurse would discuss any of your pre-existing medical conditions (I have none so I am guessing this) with you as well she did my vitials, ordered blood and urine samples (I went directly over to PATT in HRRH after seeing her).
She also discuss the herparine (sp) shots for anti-clotting that we will need to take for a wk when we leave the hospital.
I think that is about it.
If all three (dietician, nurse and sw) give you a pass then you would go back to Dr Klein to get your surgery date. Dr. Klein would need to see/know that the interist (Dr. Glazier?) ok-ed you as well.
You will then need to pick up and pay for your Opti Fast ($100/wk that you need to be on it, cash) and go for your pre-ops at PATT no more than 1 mth before your surgery. Dr. Kleins office would set that up for you.
Good luck, my surgery is Wed at HRRH.
