Major Issues

I have been absent for a while, and am dealing with some major issues.

I finally had a scope on 05-SEP that revealed major esophageal erosion related to my GERD, gostric polyps and a major hiatus hernia, in fact my entire stomach migrates into my chest cavity and snuggles up on the right side of my heart. When this occurs the pain is unbearablem

The plan e weeks ago was to book sleeve revision surgery to remove the polys, reline my esophagus with a piece of small intestine and tac the new sleeve to the underside of my diaphragm. 5r Hagen and Dr Klein will be involved, I may end up with an open revision from Sleeve to RNY. If I hjave significant pain it will be done sooner as an emergency procedure

I'm sorry you're having so many issues. I gather that the RNY is not something you would really want. I do hope that it brings you some relief though.

Though the way I see it you already have a full kettle of fish with the stuff you're going thru. With a little luck things may get better.

How unfortunate.  I sure hope things work out for you - it's a shame to get this far and then have suc problems occur.  Good luck.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
