dizziness question

Hi All,

I have been feeling "off" lately after any form of exercise.....

I just went for my usual lunchtime walk and again I return to my desk feeling a little dizzy, more like slightly off balance. I seem to get this way also after a bike ride, zumba etc. Actually come to think of it, the only time I can remember not getting this feeling is after running.... Can anyone figure out why that might be??? In addition to feeling "off" I notice that my speech is like my mouth is numb.... Thinking this is something odd and I do see my GP soon so I will mention it then too.... Just curious.

Thanks for any input!!

Are you on any blood pressure medicine?  This could have an affect...  I always call tele-health first... then my doctor

I am not on medication except for my thyroid but I have had bouts of low blood pressure since surgery.

Perhaps that is what it is....

Are you hydrating well enough?  This can cause dizziness as well.

Feel better!

I agree with Sandy. I do want to say that perhaps you should see your GP as soon as possible as your speech is impaired. It is never wise to mess with this symptom.

the symptoms never last more than 5 minutes or so and don't seem to occur unless it is post workout....

My GP and I will definitely have a chat about it!!!

Thanks Ann!

hmmmm my first thought was low blood pressure- I was on BP meds pre op and since surgery have had a few episodes of dizziness--took my BP and it was quite low--am now off my BP meds yippee-

it certainly should be addressed sooner than later- you don't want to be passing our while driving or something like that--Johanna
