Made it out of surgery! Dr. Yelle said i did great and there was no issues!

I am in some pain now but trying to cope.
I have had SEVERAL bout of wreching (major dry heaves) which hurt like hell.. And then i start to panic and cry everytime.. Sheesh im a wuss!!

I have been trying to get the water sips in... Its been difficult and walking is a no go today as i am ubber nausious and almost passed out simply from walking to the bathroom and back to bed!

Im sad that i have not had the super easier painfree expereince others have.

Tryin to keep postive tho- ive napped alot so thats good.. Hurts to breathe but i At least made it right?

I am on the bench!!

Merry Christmas!

I had the wretching too :(  It sucked SO BAD.  They gave me some IV meds to calm it down (zofran) and it ended up passing.  I cannot drink plain water to this day though.

I hope you start to feel better soon and welcome to the bench !!

Hooray for being out of surgery!    And ya, dry heaves suck.  One of my friends who had the surgery had that and he was not a fan to say the least.    Hopefully the rest of your recovery will go smoothly!

Congrats Chanelle! Welcome to the bench!

I had horrendous nausea too. It was persistent for several hours post-op and nothing seemed to help. The first time I got up, I wretched so hard I peed. So I was standing there wretching, crying because of the pain and peeing down my leg.

All I can offer is it DOES get better with time. Rest, don't be afraid to ask for pain meds, and be patient with yourself.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!

Like dna said, they can give you an IV drug to stop the heaves.  I got it, it appears the kiddie tylenol made me start and again the next day before a nurse went, hey, you shouldn't have the liquid tylenol.  I was feeling so lousy I didn't think, but you can ask for the IV drug.  Heal well!
