Swimming?
I asked about this before leaving the hospital...
No pool till incisions are totally healed (minimum of 2 weeks). No pool unless you can WALK in... Stairs... Ramp... So no pools with ladders for the first 6+ weeks minimum because of incisional hernia risks.
That's info given to me yesterday by my surgical team...
That`s such a perfect answer. Thank you! I`m going to bookmark this for two weeks post op for me and go from there.
I`ll also check with the surgical team in Ottawa, of course.
`Leaving the hospital` -- you`re home!
Well done, just well done!

I'm trying really hard... Hubby's on top of things too. I tell him what I need. He nudges me if I get sluggi****'s working.
My home made protein shake with 1/3rd of a scoop of powder has made me hit 54.7 g of protein. I will hit my goal today with dinner and can focus on things I like... like tea... and water... this evening.
*gentle happy dance*
I guess my goal is 15-20g per thing... ideally... when I have more diversity I am aiming for 15-30.
Hey there, I am I am two days past my 4 week mark and I went swimming today and yesterday. I have found that swimming laps for close to an hour pretty much wipes me for the day but it is a good tired feeling.. however I have been using the ladder which i guess I shouldnt .. will switch to the stairs. Thanks for the info cuter w curves.. btw you are doing amazing.. I think we are getting around the same protein and I am like 4 weeks more along than you.. embarassing
*blush* No need to be embarrassed... think... stubborn, mule headed woman who MUST heal ASAP, and needs to go easy on anything pre-made. I just make things count the way I need them to, and make what I can have work so I am not in "trouble" with the Dr's or worse.
That said each day has been an adventure so far... Should be interesting to go through the other stages.
I am a tad envious about you already swimming... soon darn it *she says as she pulls up the night shirt she's wearing and looks at the tiny incisions*.
