I was diagnosed with Orthostatic Hypotension which I think is the same as what you are referring to.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0004536/

It doesn't cause me to faint or pass out but it gives me sudden onset dizziness, stars in front of my eyes, confusion, an sometimes I feel weak like I can't stand and may pass out but it always goes away after a few moments of being upright.  My doctor feels it will phase out as my body gets accustomed to the rapid weight loss and settles itself.  I have to take a bit more precaution when changing positions and going from up and down positions.....it happens to me often when I bend down to tie my shoes and then leap up to go for a run!  LOL

I too was told its postural hypotension. I had low blood pressure even pre-op(around 95/70) but now its very low. Usually running around 78/55.

I am 14 months out and it has gotten a little better but I still take my time in getting up and changing positions.
