Can I have Diet Ginger Ale? I know it's not allowed after, but I was wanting a little bubbly to celebrate 5 days of Opti completed.

Twh has diet pop on the list of what to drink during opti.....I never had any. It should be have you checked your hospital list too?

All l was allowed was tea, low sodium chicken or beef broth and lots and lots of water!!

We were told no carbonated beverages, but it might be different at your center.

It can't hurt you pre-op as long as its not a slippery slope that makes you want to have several a day. I would say enjoy one.

I went through HRRH and i was told it is allowed and i did drink diet/caffeine free pepsi, yummm. It did not affect my surgery what so ever, so ENJOY!

I am going through HRRH and have my surgery in March, and was told nothing carbinated allowed so this meaning no pop, So its mixed messages I guess.
