I wanted to pick up some protein bars to supplement my diet when I just can't get the protein in and I don't  have access to carry the shakes around.  I had some protein bar brand suggestions that TWH gave me, but for the life of me I can't find those notes now.

Any suggestions?   I know that Costco has a bunch and I'm heading there tomorrow morning.

I hear the most positive feedback about the Oh Yeah bars. I'm still too carb-phobic to eat protein bars. There are a lot better options to carry around like walnuts, turkey pepperoni, etc...

TWH highly recommends the Simply Bars which are ok but not fab.

I also use the Pure Protein bars from Walmart or the Oh Yeah bars..but the Pure Protein are by far the most affordable.

I saw Pure Protein, but they looked sort sketchy.  :)     I might buy a box just to test them.

I know a lot of people that do the pure protein bars.  Compared to the OH yeah bars they have better stats - more protein and less carbs for less calories.

At Costco, there are the Premier Protein bars - 30 gr per bar.  There are the Oh Yeah bars (about half the size or snack size) and they are about 14  or 15 gr of protein.

These are the two I like.  I prefer the Oh Yeah bars simply because it is like eating a chocolate bar with nuts.

Thanks JJ, I might give the Oh Yeah bars a shot too.

I love the oh yeah bars and get them at Costco - they are a wonderful add on for when you are in a crunch. I read "all" the labels at Costco... lol... and oh yeah came out best in regards to protein, carbs and calories.

Keep in mind that - when you are doing price comparisons - the Costco ones re 45 grams (what is perfect) - the Popeye ones ( and shoppers) are the larger size. The 45 gram is just perfect.

Happy shopping.

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

I have to be careful with the amount of sugar alcohols in protein bars so I eat the Simply Bar and the Premier Protein from Costco.  I just eat 1/2 of the Premier Protein to keep the carb count under control but in a pinch they are perfect.
