First of all, I have been a member of this forum for 2 years now since I was first referred for assessment. I have read...no studied almost every post for 2 years. I have a scribbler full of useful info and refer to it regularly. Although I don't say much on the site, I have gleaned so much useful info from here. I thank everyone who has posted even a minor bit of info or an achievement. I have cheered for your achievements and grieved with you for your setbacks. It's been encouragement for me and I am sure others out there who follow this site.. After being referred in June 2011, it is finally my turn on the table tomorrow am in Guelph ,Dr Jules. May have to do a sleeve instead of RNY. Will decide when he gets inside. That makes me a little nervous as would prefer RNY as have such a carb addiction but I trust him totally. I know my friends on this site will be cheering for me. Thanks buckets.

Mesh in lower abdomen from a previous post op ventral hernia repair. He doesn't want to get messing with it.

Good luck you are in good hands i believe. I had a really good feeling about Dr. Jules when I met him, my surgery is on the 13th:) Cant wait to hear all about your journey!

Thanks to all for the replies and good wishes. Just leaving now for Guelph. Two hour drive so staying in hotel overnight. Thanks again and as I have read on this forum so often "see you on the bench"

Live near Bayfield. Referral June 2011 to Windsor Bariatric Referral Center. July asked to be transferred to Guelph as closer but file got lost.. Orientation Nov 2011, Guelph. Nurse,Nut and SW X3 mid 2012. Surgeon Dec 2012. VGS Surgery Feb 26 2013 Dr Jules Guelph
