Hi everyone, i have my gastroscopy this Wednesday at HRRH with Dr Hagan. A little nervous about what he might see do to so many previous surgeries. I assume its under a local anesthetic ? Thanks Krista

I was given a mild sedative by iv in for mine in Ottawa. Very quick procedure try not to be nervous. Good luck!

Dr Hagen did mine a few weeks ago. Piece of cake. They give you something intravenously and you go to sleep. It only takes a few minutes and you'll leave within half hour of the procedure.

yes - HRRH also did one on me.

Opted to have my throat spayed.  Just does taste nasty - but it numbs your throat.

And they they also did put me to sleep (IV) - over in a few minutes. I was in the hospital so I had an IV already anyway.

Nothing to worry about.

Indeed piece of cake. heart
