RNY, 8 months post op

Good morning, everyone!  My husband and I had a great anniversary trip away this weekend.  We did lots of shopping, enjoyed the beautiful hotel, and went to some really nice restaurants. I tracked everything on my Sparkpeople App, so was able to stay on track but also enjoy a few indulgences (a couple of glasses of wine which were great, and a taste of the best dessert fondue ever!).

Today I’m back to work and back to more "regular" eating.  It’ll be a busy week as my HB is now away for wor****il Thursday night.  So I’m flying solo with the kids, which always makes it a bit tougher to get my exercise in.  I had a good 45 min run last night, and tonight I’ll be doing my Yoga for Runners video.

Here’s my eating plan for the day:

B – 3/8 cup greek yogurt, ½ tbsp. Holy Crap cereal, ½ cup blackberries/blueberries, SF syrup.

S – Pure protein bar

L – ½ can tuna, 1 tbsp. mayo, mustard, 3 pieces whole wheat melba toast, 1 cup spinach salad (with cucumbers, tomatoes, 1 tbsp. hemp hearts and 1 tbsp. balsalmic dressing).

S – 1 babybell gouda cheese, 1 premier protein drink (trying not to have two protein supplements in a day, but was too busy last night to cook up another protein source for snack)

D – 150 grams sloppy joes (ground beef and the manwich sauce), 4 spears asparagus, SF pudding for dessert.

S – SF jello cups

Totals – 1,288 calories, 80g carbs, 57g fat, 120g protein

Bad girl this weekend. Lots of yardwork at my friend's house (she's too ill to get out there herself) but lots of eats too.

Had BOTH a small piece of apple pie AND a Dairy Queen dipped cone (not together). cool

Beating myself up over it won't do any good - just have to knuckle under this week and get it under control again.

 

 B - Raisin Bran, large coffee

 S - Greek joghurt, SF applesauce, granola

 L - tossed salad w chicken

 S - Special K bar, 2nd coffee

 D - 2 ribs, tossed salad, SF jello

I also did not stick to diet this weekend. So back to reality today. Not a lot of exercise probably just a long walk with my husband and dog later.

s. hummus, carrots,

s. cappuccino protein shake, 1/2 apple

d. salad and chicken

s. fresh Ontario strawberries and greek yogurt

Picked up some strawberries this weekend from Wittamores. I will eat some and freeze some. I love this in the winter when only the crappy American ones are in the store. My some tells me the American ones are generically modified with cod to make them grow faster!

Good morning. So I had sweet potato fries, twice this weekend! I never order that and I don't know what made me think it was ok. Didn't eat much for Saturday's order, but a good 3/4 of Sunday's order. I'm not annoyed, just...surprised. That isn't something I'm going to get into. Glad eating out isn't part of my regular routine.

I'm currently waiting for an ultrasound with a perc drainage for a but of water that has been hanging out around my belly button (post TT). So no food since midnight. 10:30 right now, for my 10 am appointment....sigh.

Protein bar when I'm done. Chicken for lunch, homemade burger patties for dinner. Edamame in there somewhere too. Have a great day everyone!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Good luck with your ultrasound, Kelly!  I hope they can resolve the water issue quickly.
