Fitbit Flex or Zip??
I'm fairly new and am 17 days post-op. I've seen a lot of posts about Fitbit and saw some videos. I like that you can add friends as that in itself can be motivating.
However, I'm curious which one people use. I have been watching 3 different types on ebay and the bidding on the Fitbit Flex are more than what you can purchase online...I don't understand it. Right now some have a bid price of over $125.
I did some research on the web and found the Fitbit Flex to be on back order at the product's website. That seems to be what I've read on the forums. I did a little more digging on the internet and found an article that Fitbit was now available at Best Buy, Future Shop and London Drug stores. Future Shop listed the Fitbit Flex for $99.99 but is not available online or in the store. ??? Best Buy has the slate currently available online for $99.99.
I'd like to join the people that are using their Fitbits for exercise motivation.
Is the Fitbit Flex the best one to buy versus the Fitbit Zip or wireless combo?
Thanks,
Mona (in west Hamilton)
I am also interested in this. I hear it is alot better then MyFitnessPal?

I use My Fitness Pal every day to track my protein, calories and water intake. I do add my exercise but it's an estimate.
I want to use Fitbit as a motivator while I'm wearing it. From what I understand I can set my daily goal and the led lights show my progress...at least that's what I've seen in the promo video. It seems to be a hit and miss to sync My Fitness Pal and Fitbit but I'll have to see.
I am disappointed I have to have an iPhone 4S or above to use it with my cell.
Ya, I saw that when I went on the website. It does look interesting.
I think I am gonna youtube it more and see if there is a little more indepth information on it. :) But I do have to get my fitness pal.

I don't have one but have read more than my fair share of threads about them. The majority of people that post have the One. It is the one that clips on and most women say they clip it to their bra. The Flex is new and not available in most places in store or online and backordered so that is why it's probably going for more money than it's worth on Ebay. From what I have seen others post, the One shows you how well you are doing throughout the day as it shows the steps but the Flex doesn't offer that. It has the lights but no actual numbers show so you have to sync it if you are curious to see where you are at. I think if I were ever to get one, I would go for the One. I like that the Flex has a bracelet that you can wear and is waterproof but not sure I'd want to be wearing it with every outfit. At least the One, you can clip it on and nobody sees it but you.
I received my Fitbit Flex from Best Buy yesterday. I am 8 weeks post op and have used my fitness pal but must admit I am impressed with the flex. It seems to keep track of alot more things that I found difficult to do. It has a place for your blood sugar, blood pressure, steps, activities etc. Even after only 1 day I think this was a wise $99.99 to spend. I can`t compare it to any other type but so far I am pleased.

I just got my fitbit flex from Best Buy yesterday. I like it so far and it hasn't been24 hours yet but I am having fun so far.
I have the fitbit "one" and love it. I dont go a day without wearing it. What i like about the one is that it has a screen that displays your steps, burn, stairs etc... the flex uses lights to let you know how you are doing. I like the visual of seeing how i am doing.
I also use myfitnesspal to track my food and exercise and then it syncs over to the fitbit.
I got mine at the Apple store in Conestoga mall, waterloo for anyone close by looking for one:)
