high protein snacks
Ok guys so yesterday I was 7 weeks post op yayy me but I need some help. I decided to write this after experiencing my first very hectic day since surgery, I have been non stop on the go all day today and I know that today I have not gotten nearly enough protein in so I would like some suggestions for high protein snacks to just throw in my purse on a very busy day like today besides a protein bar I think I have tried every kind out there blah lol
Babybel light cheese
String cheese - I like BlackDiamond
in a baggie - a couple of light Laughing Cow cheese (I'm seeing a trend, here) and a few melba toast or Triscuits
.25 cup of pumpkin seeds
Just off the top of my head -- things I've carried around in the past month or so.
:)
mmm

some almonds or something like that fits nicely into one of those little snack baggies. no.. wait, maybe not at seven weeks.
cheese sticks.
hmmmm.... i'd say a boiled egg... but they don't last well in your purse. and if you forget about them, they're gross... and they mess things up in there. also stinky.
Protein bar-I use the Premier ones from Costco. A box lasts a long time because I only eat half of one at a time & I usually only eat that a couple of times per week.
