Well i had my RNY on July 25 and then 9 days later had a part of my bowel removed because of an obstruction.  I got out of the hospital yesterday. Anyone else have this happen to them???  I am so depressed and terrified of something else going wrong.

I have not but I am only 3 days post op.  Sorry to hear this is happening to you.  Stay strong and it will all be worth it in the end.  Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I am so sorry this happened to you and that you had to go through that.

Try to keep your head up - you are right that it sucks that this happened to you, but it does not mean that there are other things that will go wrong.

Try to follow the program and the recommendation as good as you can, stay in touch with the team ( NUT etc...).

Make sure that you don't constipate.

Keep up the good work - things will turn around.

Take care - hugs. heart

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Hi, I'm so sorry you had to have another surgery, I can only imagine how it must feel for you.  Did the doctor reassure you that everything is fine?  You may just need some time to get over all of this in such a short amount of time.  I hope you will be feeling less depressed each day.  Once you see that' everything is working O.K. you will feel a lot better.  We are all thinking about you and please keep us posted on how you are doing.     Cathy xo

Sorry to hear of your complication. No doubt you are on the mend now though. Keep your chin up.

Sorry to hear about your set back!  Sounds like a lot to go thru in such a short amount of time.   Good thing they found it and corrected it right away.   I hear after we lose more weight and as the fat around our organs and stomach lessens, our bowels/intestines have more room to move around and can do strange things as well!  I am not looking forward to that part of the journey.     Get plenty of rest....all the best!
