Thank you very much for your well wishes and support, I am out of the hospital and all cleared out .

Question (probably asked a million times): why is it that plain water (hot to frozen) hurts Lochy (Lochness Monster) but even putting a little Crystal Light helps?

I love water

Good question.  I am 6 days out surgery and I had the same problem.  I would say Friday (surgery was Monday) the water started to not hurt me anymore.  Hope yours goes away also.

The water has surface tension.  When you add something to the water, it makes it easier to go down (for most folks).  I had no problem with plain water or herbal tea or decaf or crystal light, etc.

As time goes by, you will notice that it is easier to sip or take a more normal drink.

Ya i could NOT drink water at all and I wil not drink anything with aspartame so for about 3 months I drank ho****er with lemon or room temperature with lemon.

I am 4 mths out and its much easier to drink plain water with ice. I do have days where I can't tolerate it but it is getting easier.

Good Luck.

Took me a while to get used to water again. Now everything else is too sweet. I LOVE my ice water.
