I can't  believe it. Today is my last day of opti and surgery is tomorrow. Two weeks is a long time without eating real food. Everyday i fought the urge to take a bite of something whilst i was cooking for my family. Some where more difficult than others but, i did it. Just four more shakes to go and one picc line insertion and i'll be good to go on Thursday. I'm just proud of how I did not let my self down and give into temptation and of how mentally strong i am. Ofcourse i'm nervous but, i'm trying to keep a positive mind and not think of the negatives.

Congratulations on making it through opti!
Good luck with surgery... you will do great! One question though... why are you getting a picc line?

Thanks. I had a picc line because i have terrible veins. Usually takes them a while to find one. I was hesitant about getting one to begin with, now that i got it, i'm glad. It was less painful than getting an IV put in that's for sure.

Congrats! If you can make it through Opti, you can make it through surgery I hated Opti but didn't cheat, and after hearing the surgeon say my liver looked awesome I felt the same as you - grateful to myself. Resisting all those temptations will pay off. Here's to a speedy recovery! 😄

Great job!!! You undeniably should be very proud! I start a day before halloween...a cruel joke or very strategic LOL...not sure which one it is yet!!! :-)

ps...Does anyone know why some hospital adhere to 3 weeks opti versus 2 weeks?....just curious.
