Fat Christmas

I'm really hoping that this is my last FAT CHRISTMAS.  I just started a new job, so I'm already feeling really self-conscious. Next Saturday is the Christmas party and I've been searching for a dress and I can't find anything!  It's so frustrating!  I am so hoping that at this time next year that I'll have had my surgery!  Yes, I'm having a bit of a pity party!  I would be way more depressed if I didn't have the hope of this surgery ahead of me.  I am so looking forward to orientation on Nov 27th!

I'm totally with you!  I hope to be looking fine for next Christmas!  Good luck at your orientation on the 27th.  Don't let the Social Worker scare you off, I swear he did a number on my group.  I saw so many people basically bolt for the door after he spoke it was actually kind of funny.

 

It's not fun waiting, but the results are worth it after surgery.  I hope you'll find the perfect dress for your party!  I found a couple of amazing dresses at my heaviest that I was actually sad to have to give away once I lost weight.  But I didn't find them at the Axis of Plus Sized Evil (Pennington's, Addition-Elle, and Reitman's).  I ended up finding them at another independent store in Toronto.

P.S. I'm kidding about the Axis of Evil thing.  I was just so happy not to have to shop at the first two stores anymore - I hate how overpriced they are for what you get at them.  The "fat tax" (high prices not justified by a little extra material) really ticks me off.

I agree, but Laura is even worse! What is the name of the store on Toronto? I might check it out on the weekend.

Pamela, this time last year I was where you are, I couldn't even enjoy Christmas because of the way I felt and I way I looked, I already had my date and was focused on that. THIS year will be a whole lot different I am down 130 lbs and only 12 lbs away from my goal, I was hoping to be at goal by Christmas but if not then by my one year which is Feb 6th.

This is a life changing journey, just keep your eye on the prize and you will get there!

I remember dreading my husband's work xmas parties, because i could never find a dress i didnt feel like a house in. Hugs. You're putting these days behind you.
