Exercising NSVs; two for the price of one!

I've always been a gym-goer, even at my heaviest. It never helped me in the least, as I never lost a pound, but I went, nonetheless. I've been doing that for more than a decade on a pretty regular basis.

I've just been through a bad cold and a subsequent asthma attack and persistent cough, so I hadn't been to the gym in just over two weeks until I could better regulate my breathing. But I went back on Monday past, and to my surprise, I hopped on the elliptical to start my cardio and...

THE MOVING HANDLES DON'T TOUCH MY ARMS ANYMORE!

With a bonus of...

OMFG!!!!! MY THIGHS DON'T TOUCH TOGETHER on the elliptical!

I love cardio work and always went for the elliptical machines with static handles (i.e., those that don't have moving handlebars) because the moving handlebars alway**** my arms when they came back towards me. Anyway, on Monday, the only available ellipitcal machine was one with moving handlebars and I cringed, expecting the darn handles to slap me around again. As I got on the machine and was starting off, I realized for the first time in my freakin' life, that the darn things don't smack me anymore! Holy sh*t! I was gobsmacked!

And after about five or ten strides as I'm programming the machine, I realize something else is different. I look down to realize that with my feet properly placed on the footpads, my inner thighs no longer touch together! For the first time EVER. OMIGOD! I was stunned. I literally slapped my hand over my mouth, wide-eyed. I'm sure the other folks there wondered what the heck had happened for me to stop so abruptly! It was incredible. And freaky all at once. I'm sure I had a helluva grin all through the cardio workout on Monday! It was pretty cool.

Anyway, I thought I'd share that one with you. I'm sure lots of you can relate to this one! Have a wonderful day all!

holy crow, that's awesome. The NSV i still love the best, is not having to open my car door to flip the lever to open the wee door for my gas.

Pretty wild huh? I had to adjust my mirrors a couple of weeks ago. And this morning, I realized I'm just a touch too far away from the steering wheel. I think I need to adjust my seat now too! SO COOL!
