I was wondering what OHIP will cover for skin surgery? I still have a lot to lose but trying to understand what I may need to pay out of pocket.

Thanks

I don't know first hand, but my friend paid about $4000.00 out of pocket, the rest was OHIP covered.  You have to have A LOT of skin to have anything covered.  When/if you're ready, your plastic surgeon will be able to tell you the exact number.

I recently upgraded my panni removal that was approved through OHIP to a full tummy tuck. I paid $5300.00. If the panni was not approved I would have had to pay $6800.00 I believe.

There are a number of surgeons who will send in an application for OHIP panni approval, but its a lengthy process.

Start saving, little by little you will get there.
