confused how dates work

I'm having surgery at Humber too.  I was first referred July. 2014. Orientation was Oct. 18. I didn't meet the surgeon until March 23. My trio spots were June 1 and just met Dr Glazer (internist) on Aug. 24.  Still a few months til actual surgery.  So very slow going for me too

So you met the doctor first than the trio appts....   What happened when you met him the first time?

He asked me a few questions about my health, like if I were a smoker or if I had any problems. He asked my weight. He told me about the surgery a bit and he said how long I'd be on optifast. He gave me his business card and told me to call the office after my trio appointments (when I passed them all) and I'd be given a surgery date.  The whole meeting was less than 10 minutes. 

Did it take a long time for the other appts ?   I guess that's a tough question because everyone is different :-( 

I had orientation at Humber on April 21st and I haven't heard from them since. I called (most recently) about a week and a half ago and they said they aren't booking April yet (that was still in august) but said I should hear from them next month (being Sept). 

Did they call you or mail you the date if you don't mind me asking? 

Ha! Thanks to my ticker timeline I realize orientation was April 20, not 21 :)

Ugh really April???  Seems so far away :-(

Sorry just to clarify they said they aren't booking people whose orientation was in April, at that time they were still booking those who had orientation in March. I think us April orientation folks will hear this month and based on your post it sounds like our dates are for november. 

I heard that some folks at Humber are getting surgery dates for March 2016 now :( that means we may be summer of 2016 but who knows. There are a lot changes at Humber (moving locations, nice new hospital) so that furthers the delay. 

We we should have a HRRH group of all pending HRRH patients and keep each other informed and motivated :) lol 

Oh I understand now.  I really hope we don't have to wait too long.... I know everyone feels the same way but I want to just get ion with it.   It was a tough call to through this process now it feels like time is standing still 

That's a great idea, I feel like every time I come on I'm holding my breath for info!
