Hi All and Happy Saturday.

I have been really focusing on major changes with food choices over the past 6 months such as protein 1st then veg then carbs but I wasn't putting too much emphasis on calories or portion size etc. Since Aug started I have been using fitness pal and strictly follow daily calories of 1100 and max 80 gr carbs with protein between 60 - 80 gr and I am so excited to announce I have lost 11lbs:-). I have my surgery date on Nov 25th and am going to be using these next 4 months preparing for the next stage of my journey and hoping that this preparation will assist me the transitions post op. Any advise to further prepare is much welcomed. I have been on this forum daily since May and have gathered a wealth of information and support, everyone is just amazing and I love reading about others journeys and am excited and feel very encouraged to continue on healthier happier life style.

Feeling Blessed.

Great news !!!

If your not a big water drinker start now or at least figure out how your going to get your 2+ litres of water a day (I hated water started using lemon or sugar free crystal light)

Started exercising very slowly and taking it easy just to get my body into a routine of exercising after dinner

Some of those helped me

Thank you for the great suggestions, I have the water thingy down pat lol for over the past 6 mos +I have been using outlook pop up every 30 mins to remind me to drink while at work and at home I have been just keeping a water bottle close by. As for exercise its kinda hard due to arthritis in my back and knee but I did buy a pedometer and will be starting to try and walk more like getting off the bus a stop or 2 4 my regular stop. I would like if I had a pool closer to home, I enjoy swimming and its low impact and really good for low resistance stretching.  Thanks for the support

Congratulations, it really is exciting. I had my surgery June 6th 2016. I'm loving my journey so far. I've lost 45 lbs and alot of things are getting easier to do. I also have so much more energy. Good for you, starting to implement changes in your eating and exercise. I wish you much luck and look forward to hearing about your experience.
