I made it! Sore and very tired, but happy. When they got in to start my surgery, they discovered I have no rotation in my intestines (guess its a rare thing where your intestines are on opposites sides of where they should be?) So I was sleeved instead. Surgeon was worried that if for some reason I ever had to have another surgery, the future surgeon could end up totally lost. ? My mom and my husband both said trust you to have to be different!
The plus side is, I did get wls. I will lose weight and if it doesnt go as well as we (my bariatric team and I) would like, they will go back at a later date and do the bypass anyway.

I was also different and ended up being one of the "less than 1%". I, too, got congratulated on not being normal.
