HI all managed to get to and from orientation ok. It was long drive but worth it. There was a large number there for the orientation. Most sat back and listened, some took notes, a few like myself tried to participate. Mostly it is just an info session. Nurse was great! but spoke soft and fast so had to really listen. Guest speaker was good. Nice to hear a real experience! Overall It was good. Guelph seems to me more strict and requires a few more appointments then Humber did a few years bk. When my husband and I got out into the parking lot the first thing he said was "I'm ready". (he is ready for me to have the surgery) He is under weight so struggles in his own unique way. When I went through program last time neither of us were ready and this time we are without a doubt ready. I think it is going to be easier now knowing that I have his full support.

Now ready to make my next appointments. Hoping to get the initial meeting in before winters full force is upon us. I had an awesome day!

It must feel great to know you are finally ready. Sometimes making a decision is really hard, especially when you need the full support of a spouse. Sounds like you have it. I had my surgery a couple of weeks ago, and my husband has been a fantastic support. Nothing makes him happier, then when I'm happy....and I'm really happy!

All the best to you with your journey!
