Hi Lucile

I had my surgery done at TWH and I had my one month appointment 2 weeks ago. It started off for me being weighed, measured and looking over my incisions to make sure they were healing properly. After that you do a group nutrition class, so if you have any questions about food that is a great time to get your question answered. Bring paper and pen with you to take notes if you like.

Thank you very much Lucile! I feel very proud of myself for getting through three weeks of Optifast, surgery and learning how to eat. It has been crazy learning what my new pouch likes and dislikes lol. One thing for sure that I found out CAN'T do any kind of eggs what so ever lol. My taste buds are still out of wack, it is VERY slowly coming around but for the most part everything taste blah. On the bright side because of my taste buds I do not crave any junk food or fast food restaurants what so ever. The Optifast to me was so sweet that it has turned me right off of anything sweet lol. For the longest time I couldn't even put crystal light in my water or eat jello that was to sweet lol. As for the weight loss part omg it is amazing, I am down one pant size and had to tighten my bra because it was to loose . Also when I went for my one month check up I got the best surprise so far since my surgery! I was given some paper work to fill out and there was only the single size chairs with arms left to sit in, and I was like here we go have to sit in a chair that I am going to feel squished in.To my surprise I fit and I DIDN'T touch the arms of the chair! I giggled and wiggled in the chair feeling so good about myself! The lady across from me smiled and laughed and said isn't it the most amazing feeling that the chair you sat in before surgery that we felt squished in, now after surgery we have room and were not touching the arms! Feeling very proud of myself!
