so when i was starting this weight loss journey i was afraid to step on the scale. but my mom convinced me to see a weight loss specialist in toronto (where i live) i started seeing him (dr. macklin) and we weighed me for the first time in years. this was about 5 years ago. i had foregone the scale for many reasons one of which was that i was over 300 lbs and i knew that i would not be able to just step on a bathroom scale and have accurate results. most of them were not good after 250 at that time (or so i believed, they are more accurate now)

i got on the big scale and was shocked and dismayed to find out I was 311, at 5'8 that was insane. i was so distraught. but that was then. i worked hard with my doctor and we got me down to 289 after a round of opti but it came back. never back as high as 311 but eventually it settled on 299. where i have set my ticker. but from my highest weight 311, i am now as of the other day down 70 lbs. that is amazing.

that is flipping madness. 70lbs. i know it was not all on this surgery journey but it has been all my journey. and i am wowed.

i never thought i would be below 300, then i never thought i would be below 250. now i am both. soon it will be below 200, well maybe not soon. but eventually.

i am almost excited to get on the scale at my next appointment.

Thank you for all your support
Cheers

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

That is all SO amazing!!! I love that you have your sights set on being below 200. This journey makes it possible to see that!! I know this journey has had a couple of starts and stalls for you, but I'm so proud of you that you're seeing your successes!!!

YES! You ARE doing amazingly well!!! Yes, getting to your goal is going to happen!!! For you, for me, for all of us!!

As a side note: I have been stalled for a few days, and when i got on the scale this am, there was a bit of a drop... and for the first time (even though I'm not close yet), I also had that realization that getting under 200 lbs is within reach. Amazing eh!!!

What an exciting journey... I'm so blessed to be part of yours. :)

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.
