7 Week Update - LBL

Seven weeks from yesterday I had my Circumferential Lower Body Lift. I'm so pleased I did this. I had so many doubts going into the surgery much more than I did for my VSG. I was very close to backing out.

I'm really starting to like the way my body looks. Its so strange looking down and not seeing the extra skin. I almost feel like normal.

My doctor didn't have me wear a binder. He told me it was import for the top half and lower half of the body to learn how to communicate and establish good blood flow. He told me to start wearing spanx type of compression garments the tightest I could tolerate after the second week and to wear it 24x7 for four weeks.

I purchased the starter brand from walmart they were $10 bucks each. I stopped wearing them last week and haven't gone back.

I noticed after I stopped wearing the compression garments, it looks like my belly button is starting to develop a normal shape. I'm happy about that as I was worried about it. Also happy about my butt, Not looking for perfection just couldn't tolerate the shar pei look.

I feel almost back to normal. Once in a while I feel my tummy and sides start to tighten up. But it goes away after a couple of hours.

I've started to go back to the gym. I'm still taking it very easy. Working on toning up my chest and arms. Still scared to do any abdominal exercise. I think my arms will be OK and I won't need any plastics on them. I definitely will need surgery on my chest. I'm going to get the breasts done in May.

I've posted some new pictures in my profile. I also have Pre LBL pics as well as 7 day post pics.

You have to be a friend to see those pics.

Hi Mike!
So glad to hear your are healing up! I cant believ how much your swelling has gone down, I'm jealous! It does take the eyes and head to catch up to the changes.
Enjoy the journey and remember you are still healing,
