Question-what medication for headaches??

Hey there-I am 17 days away from surgery and had to discontinue ibuprofen, aspirin, etc. 21 days prior to surgery.  I woke up this morning with a migraine starting and I haven't had one of those in ages.  So without thinking I took 4 excedrin and laid down for 10 minutes, which took the edge off and got rid of the "migraine halos" from my eyes.  My question is, what pain medication can you take for these situations if you can't take the others?  Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

I don't know for sure if they are ok for RNY but there are a group of drugs like Imitrex that did wonders for mine. You might talk to your pharmacist and see what they suggest. Good luck migraines are horrid!
