i scared myself

 okay...tell me im not alone.  i was resreaching last night and i read a terrbile story of a complication to the sleeve and now im second guessing myself.  i know this is a normal thing but part of me thinks maybe i should be happy my band was removed and i can live a life normally without eating issues.  would i be seeting myself up again with a sleeve?  so many people seem happy after the went from band to sleeve.  i want that too.  i guess i want a guantee that things will be fine.  

I think as far as complications go it is really a roll of the dice (granted less of one the more experienced the doc is). The thing is to remember that the vast majority of people who get the sleeve are doing well and no problems. Otherwise there would not be so many docs who offer the sleeve. I know it is a scary thing to have WLS but with an informed decision you will be fine, (she said patting your back)
