That's not necessarily a revision, per se. The DS is often done in two steps, with the sleeve surgery being the first step and the lower (malabsorption portion) being a second surgery.
As long as your original surgeon does DS, go back to him/her, especially if your insurance picked the sleeve surgery up.

My surgeon on the west Coast... his fee last March for:
Open DS: $8650.00
Lap DS: $9525.00
Those are the surgeon fees only. I assume this is the whole DS, so the intestine portion (the second part of the DS) might have a different price. I know its a diff surgery but I had to chime in...cause costs are WAY over the limit in Healthcare. When I had my RNY in 2004 the cost was around $18,000 with them settling for $11,000. This year when I had the Y Junction down via Lap...the cost was $43,596. with them settling for $34,000....that was just CRAZY but that how it can be now a days!!
