Too many sugar alcohols for me-no one would want to be around me if I ate those!

I'm with you.  On the other hand, if I ate that many sugar alchols I'd lose a good bit of weight - if I could ever get off the toilet long enough to stand on the scales.

Tried them once and the SA's were awful, plus it didn't taste very good.

I have to say, these are my absolute favorite - Power Crunch.  I have been experimenting with bars for over 3 years now...these have no sugar alcohols or anything.  And they taste sinful.

So yummy~~205 cal; 5 g sugar; 12 g fat and 14 g protein.  I only eat 1/2 at a time.

Flavors include:
Peanut Butter
Chocolate PB
Vanilla
Berry
Cookies and creme
Chocolate

And, vitamin shoppe sells them - you can get a case of 9 for $13 (they match the web price in store).

They are way better than the Oh Yeah wafer bars, which are rather dry and tasteless.

I really have to agree about the Power Crunch Bars.  I have a bag of about 40 protein bars right now of various brands.  My favorite seem to be Power Crunch, Pure Protein and Quest.  But I almost always go for the Power Crunch because they are light, go down well, don't have an aftertaste to me and the stats are good.  Since I've been in a phase for the last 2 weeks where I just do NOT want to eat....at all, I will have a Power Crunch for lunch or dinner and I'm good.  It could be a little higher in protein but on occasion I will dip it in a little peanut butter.

Think Thin bars gave me severe gas cramps from sugar alcohols.

I eat Pure Protein bars with no problem.
  • 1.76 ounce Pure Protein chewy chocolate chip bar: 200 calories, 20 grams protein, 3 grams sugar, 7 grams sugar alcohol
  • 1.76 ounce Pure Protein chocolate peanut butter bar: 200 calories, 20 grams protein, 2 grams sugar, 6 grams sugar alcohol

I have used the Think Thin bars for years and love them, no side effects. The flavors are very tasty and they take a while to eat because they have some nice "chew" to them.
