Slow losing
Everybody has a different story and journey. Try not to compare too much there are so many individual factors. However, as reassurance that you are not alone.
I lost 22 lbs in month 1 and only 11 lbs in month 2 so it was 1/2 the amount from the previous month. Add up your totals and look at it monthly instead of daily and weekly particularly as you move farther out. See my monthly stats below. In the end, I am getting there just the same regardless of the pace. I have 9 lbs to go for goal a normal BMI.

YOur rate of loss may in fact seem "slow" compared to some on the boards, but comparison is really risky. You have no way of knowing how much those other folks need to lose, what their eating plan is like, how much they exercise....or all the metabolic factors that enter in to the equation.
In addition, I think it is a universal feeling that "I had this surgery...now could the weight just be GONE....like YESTERDAY please!!!"
The truth is, our bodies have a lot of adjusting to do. At 8 weeks, you are still in a healing phase from major surgery. Your endocrine system has to catch up with the weight loss and implications for all of your body systems. You are probably exercising and using muscles that haven't worked in a while. All of this plays a role....it is so much more than what shows up on the scale!
So be a little patient. Be a little gentle with yourself, and give your body time to function the way it needs to through this. If you are fearful of "no" weight loss, start writing it down weekly. At 6 months, my loss slowed down significantly, but I see that I did continue to lose well after a year post op.
And yes, I was a "slow" loser.

I feel I am a slow looser as well, but on the bright side I am loosing & thats what matters...
1st month - 26 lb
2nd month -13 lb
3rd month - 8 lb
4th month - 7 lb
Measure... Measure...Measure! I have lost 57 lbs so far but it feels like its 75 lbs...the inches seem to go away faster for me than the weight...
Stay positive & try not to compare... you are making a positive change in your life period...no matter how fast or slow its a positive change. Good luck & keep the faith!

Even if you are a slow loser, the weight WILL come off. I was all over the place the first 6 months (some weeks lost a lot, some weeks lost very little, etc.), but then was a slow loser after that. It took me 20 months to get to my goal weight, but I got there!
