Six Months Out - Diet?

It's official - I'm six months out from surgery! I'm 80lbs+ down and feeling spectacular! My question now is - how much am I supposed to be eating? According to my Nut, I'm supposed to be getting 70-80grams of protein daily, but she was a bit vauge as to how much food I'm supposed to be able to consume. I'm paranoid about over-eating and stretching my pouch!

Post-opers, tell me, how much were you eating at six months out?

I think every Nut is different.  Mine says 3/4 to 1 cup.   Most of the time I eat about 3/4 but occasionally can get in 1 cup.  Depends on the food and it's density.

I was eating about 3/4 cup of food at a time, depending on what I was eating.  I think I was eating four or five times a day then (I eat about six times most days now).

I'm 6 months out, too!  I totally agree with you!  I am able to eat more now and am afraid of stretching my pouch, as well.  For example, about 3 months ago I could eat only 1/2 of a wrap.  Tonight I ate the entire thing for dinner - though most of it was lettuce.  Sometimes I can only eat a little bit...other times (like tonight) I eat a lot.  Are you going through the same thing?

Also, how much are you losing each month?  I have been losing about 10 lbs., but only lost 8 lbs. last month.

Congrats on your weight loss!! :)

I'm going through the same thing. I can eat so much more some days, and other days forget it... a few bites (two or three literally) and I'm done. Yet I haven't lost but 3 pounds this entire month. Makes me angry!

Today my "diet" or foods are... (having a real sensitive pouch day).

Breakfast: protein coffee (decaf of course).

Lunch: chiboni greek yogurt.

Snack a cheese stick.

Dinner: protein shake (planned).

Protein that's 22 for breakfast, 14 for lunch, 6 for snack and 26 for dinner. That's a grand total of... 68. Calories... not a clue. Will have to tally that.

Normally, it's protein coffee or kashi go lean crunchy for breakfast.

Lunch is tuna on low salt saltines

dinner is either a turkey burger or chicken. Sometimes a veggie in there.

Snacks are almost always cheese sticks or deli meat.
