Changing Avatar

Hi OH family sorry to bother you all, but i'm trying to change my Avatar to a photo, it keeps telling me its not the right size how do I correct this problem I am not a computer person, need a little help!

i had the same problem.  i had to go in and crop my picture to the size the site says it has to be, and then i just save the new size pic to my "pictures" and upload it. i've never heard of the website to shrink pictures.  i've definitely got to try that because it's probably a lot easier than how i've been doing it. thx.
