I STILL CANNOT SLEEP ON MY STOMACH EVEN AFTER I GOT MY DRAIN OUT TODAY. I CAN'T EVEN SLEEP ON MY SIDE. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG THIS WILL LAST???

It took a couple of weeks before I was comfortable enough to sleep on my side - stomach sleeping followed quickly after. It won't be long, Sunshine! Hang in there! These things don't last forever and things, I promise, do become more normal with some time.

I remember telling my mom that I regretted the surgery for a full month after I had it... now 5 months post op, things are back to normal, I've lost almost 100lbs, I feel great and I can't imagine regretting the surgery! I hope things return to normal quickly for you - I know how uncomfortable it is!

What helped me is my husband got me one of those pregnancy pillows that allow you to sleep on your side with support from the pillow underneath.

It took me a month or so before I could sleep on my stomach and about three weeks for the side. It hurts when you first wake up after it finally happens. Then gets easier each time.

I feel asleep on my back and one day woke up on my stomach. It just happened on its own with no stress from me. I think it took me about 2 weeks or less. That has to be right because my aunt was still in town when it happend and she was only with me for 2 weeks.

Be patient, it will happen. And yes, those body pillows help with side lying.
