Calcium

How much calcium do you take each day?  I have been taking 1200 per day of the Catcitral (calcuim citrate) and I wonder how much I am absorbing.  I looked at the chewables on Amazon.  They are lemon and chocolate flavored and I know they have been mentioned here.  There are 30 in a package and are 500 mg each.

Make SURE that the chewables you're considering are calcium citrate (e.g. Bariatric Advantage or Calcet). I've been duped before on no-name chewables & would hate for someone else to make the same mistake!!
I take about 2000 mg daily.

You've got good advice here. 1500mg of calcium, but you have to take it 3x a day because you can't absorb more than 600mg at a time. This was new news to me...

I take 1500mg.

If you like Lemon Pound Cake....you will LOOOVE the lemon calcets!! I am a chocolate fanatic but wasn't crazy about the chocolate flavor.

I take 1500 mg a day, in three doses of 500 mg each.  The ASMBS says we need 1500-2000 mg a day.

I think the chewables you're talking about are the Calcet creamy bites and they are delicious.  If you put the chocolate ones in the freezer, they are just like eating a frozen candy bar.
