Please Decipher my Labs
I can say that I have worked really hard on my B12, Iron and Vitamin D Levels. My actual results are in RED and I have shown the Standard Range where it was provided. Please let me know what I need to work on. I will go over these labs with my doctor this Wednesday.
Transthyretin - Prealbumin - 18.3 mg/dl
Vitamin B1, Plasma - Vitamin B1, Serum/Plasma - 33 ug/L
Vitamin B12 and Folate
Vit B12 - 1460 - Standard Range 243-894 PG/ML
Folate - >20 - Standard Range 4.20-19.90 NG/ML
Ferritin - Ferritin - 50 - Standard Range 10-150 NG/ML
Hemoglobin A1C - HGBA1C % - 4.8 - Standard Range 4.3-5.8 %
Iron, TIBC and Transferrin Saturation
Iron - 82 - Standard Range 30-160 UG/DL
Total Iron Binding Capacity - 267 - Standard Range 228-428 UG/DL
Iron/Total Iron Binding Capacity - 31 - Standard Range 13-50 %
Urinalysis with Reflex to Microscopy
Speficifc Gravity, Urine - 1.017 - Standard Range 1.005-1.025
PH, UA - 6.5 - Standard Range 5.0-8.0
Urobilinogen -

You're only taking iron twice a week? Or did you mean twice a day? If you take it with vitamin C you'll absorb it better. I know it has some C in it but not enough to help with the absorption of iron. You need 200 mg C for every 30 mg iron for that, so this has 65 mg iron and 125 mg C, so you'd need another 300 mg C with it. And take it at least two hours away from calcium.
