Hi!! I am going to my information session on December 2nd from 1pm-3pm! Was wondering if anyone else is going at this time? Humber Regional Hospital

Also, how long has it taken some of you who have already had surgery, from Info Session-Surgery date? I've heard 2-3 months...and I've heard 6+ months!! Just wondering!?

Thanks :)

Everything is different in Canada!  I could have had surgery 6 weeks after my first meeting with the doctor, but I couldn't get the time off wor****il 10 weeks after.  There is a big difference in the US with the timing because some insurance companies require a period of medically supervised weightloss in order to qualify for payment.  My insurance company did not require any of that, neither did my surgeon.
I've heard of one person in Canada having to wait quite a while, but I think that had more to do with location and availability of the surgeon in the area.
Good luck on your journey!  It's an amazing ride!
